Getting in the holiday spirit!

We made our way downtown again to enjoy the Macy's 8th floor Santaland "A life as an Elf"
Isabel was mesmorized by the lights and the elves.

She loved the polar bear!

Ansel enjoyed as well!

Our house has never been so filled with cookies.  We have been doing lots of baking.  Isabel really enjoyed making/decorating the sugar cookies.  The best part was eating them :)

Let it snow!

It finally feels like Christmas!  We got to enjoy some fun out in the snow today.  Isabel thought the snow was yummy.  We tried to build a snowman with the neighbors but the girls had to many layers on to even move.

Last night we went downtown to see the Holidazzle.  It was 30 degrees out and had the kids all bundled up. The parade started and it was Ansel que to be hungy.  So Mom and Ansel watched the parade from inside.  Isabel got excited with all the floats and said "goodbye" to each as they passed.  The above pic was taken after the parade.

Happy St. Nick's!

Isabel and Ansel set their shoes out for St. Nick this year.
Funny thing Dad says late at night I tripped over the kids shoes, so I put them away. We'll have to show Isabel again where her shoes belong. Oops Dad was wrong and Isabel did right :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Nov. 23rd - Ansel 2 months old!

Ansel is getting VERY BIG! He is in the 90% for his age.  He's wearing 6-9 month old clothes! We can't get over how alert he is when he's not eating/sleeping.  He is such a chatter with this cooing.  He is constantly smiling and laughing.

This Thanksgiving we made our first trip with both of the kids down to Wisconsin to visit with Abuelos C.  We had great driving weather and enjoyed a few stops along the way.  One in particular for Isabel to ride the Elephant....she loved it!

The kids enjoyed spending lots of great quality time with their abuelos and great cousins! We had lots of tamales, turkey, stuffing, and desserts.

The trip back home we stopped in Delavan and took a couple pics of the Historical Statues.

We all had fun at daycare's Fall Party.  Isabel especially enjoyed the Trunk-or-Treating and jumping in the inflatable jumper.

Isabel Trick-or-Treating for the first time!

Ansel was very warm joining the Halloween fun.

Isabel and neighbor buddy really enjoyed the trick-or-treating. Especially dancing to the Monster Mash. Check out the video of them dancing by clicking here!

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

We visited Barten's Pumpkin Patch in New Prague, MN yesterday. It was Isabel's second pumpking picking experience and Ansel's first. Ansel in none of the pictures below as he was bundled up in the stroller as it was mid 40's out. None the less we had a fun time, especially Isabel!

Isabel loves horses and now ponies.  She couldn't wipe that smile and joy from her face.

She also really enjoyed the bunnies and sheep.

She had her face painted for the first time, pink butterfly was her choice.

Isabel ended the fun with a hay ride with her grandma.  Though didn't last long as she was sound asleep ready to head home.

First week with Ansel

First week home has gone by fast!
Ansel had his first check up and is weighing in at 8lbs, 13 oz.  He's pretty high in percentile for weight, head, and length.  He's definatly not going to let his big sister push him around.
Grandparents Cambray arrived Thursday to meet their first grandson. They couldn't get enough snuggle time with Ansel and Isabel.  While visiting little did we find out, that Mom's Grandpa Gonzalezs' middle name was Anselmo, very close to our little Ansel. Grandpa Cambray is now back home but Grandma Cambray will be here for another week.

Isabel is adoring her new brother and adjusting to sharing a room with him.  The household has LOTS more energy now with the new family addition.  Take a peek at some of the pics from the hospital and days at home thus far.

Ansel officially 1 week old!

IT'S A.....

IT'S A BOY!
We welcomed our second child today, our precious Ansel!
Labor this time around was no piece of cake like with Isabel. Labor started after visiting the Como Zoo Saturday evening and mom's water broke (some).  Mom and Dad made it to Woodwinds around 10ish.  Once admitted, contractions soon decreased through the evening and morning. Early morning Mom was checked and no progress had been made. About mid afternoon Mom was put on Pitocin though didn't seem to help much.  It wasn't until later that the Midwife, ruptured the rest of Mom's sac.  Which if people thought Mom was big, you were right. Mom had lots of fluids which seemed never to end in gushing.  Mom got into the Waterbirth Tub.  However after handfuls of contractions things were still not progressing. It seemed having another waterbirth wasn't going to happen.  However, somehow the walk back to the room, seemed to help things. Because Mom didn't have to be monitored anymore and there went the entire crew back to the waterbirthing tub.  Ansel was born at 5:30pm in the waterbirthing tub. He was 8 lbs, 15 oz, and 22" long.
Everyone is doing great! Thank you all for your thoughts, support, and prayers!

Oh and if you are curious of our selection in name. We loved the name Ansel as it reminds us of the great photography Ansel Adams took of the Tetons National Park with the winding Snake River.  One of our many favorite trips together!  Jeffrey, Dad's middle name, and his Dad's name.

Stay tuned for more pics :)
